There are many resources to find and gather inLightyear Frontier, and some are available only after you complete a certain objective or two. One such resource is Copper, which you must unlock before you may find and farm it inLightyear Frontier.
To unlock Copper inLightyear Frontier, you must complete the mission ‘Restore Edge Cliffs’. The mission can be found in the Edge Cliffs biome south of The Meadow, where you first start the game.
How to unlock Copper inLightyear Frontier
Completing the Restore Edge Cliffs mission requires you to clear the biome of Noxious Weeds using your mech’s Vacuum Harvester. The mission is similar in structure to ‘Restore Pine Heights’ (toget those Red Crystals), but doesn’t require you to also clean up Noxious Slime. Walk around the area and remove all the red, gnarly weeds growing around the biome. Once you reach 100% completion, the mission is finished and you can view the area in full detail on your map.
To get Copper to spawn in Edge Cliffs, you’ll need to sleep at least once after finishing the aforementioned mission. Doing so will cause Copper Deposits to appear in a few key areas in Edge Cliffs, growing out of nodes in the ground.The largest source of Copper is near the southern border of the biome. I’d avoid the tree since it only has a single node.Like with Aluminum, you can mine for Copper Ore using your Spike Saw.

How to make Copper Wire inLightyear Frontier
Copper Wire can be made by inserting Copper Ore into an Assembler. It takes two Copper Ore to make one Copper Wire, but its construction is instant — unlike the Grinder. Getting Copper Wire awards you with even more recipes and blueprints in the game.
